    How the image converter works

Drop in one or many pictures, choose an output format and press Convert. The conversion is a real re-encode done by your browser, not a rename, and your pictures are never uploaded anywhere.

    Steps

    1. Choose pictures or drop them on the page. PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF, BMP, SVG, ICO and AVIF work if your browser can open them.
    2. Choose the output: PNG, JPG, WebP, ICO (for icons and favicons), BMP or PDF.
    3. Set options: quality for JPG and WebP, a longest side to shrink the picture, the icon sizes for ICO, or the page size for PDF.
    4. Press Convert. Download files one at a time, or take them all as a ZIP.

    Example

To make a favicon, drop in a square logo, choose ICO and keep the 16, 32 and 48 pixel sizes ticked. The download is one .ico file that holds all three sizes.

    Questions

    Is my picture uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser, on your computer.
    What happens to transparent areas?
PNG, WebP and ICO keep transparency. JPG, BMP and PDF cannot, so transparent areas are filled with the color you choose (white by default).
Will an animated GIF stay animated?
No. Output formats here are still pictures, so an animated GIF becomes a single still image.
Why is a JPG smaller than the PNG?
JPG is lossy. It trades a little detail for much smaller files. Use the quality slider to balance size and sharpness.
Can I convert images to one PDF?
Yes. Choose PDF and tick Put all pictures in one PDF.
